Celebrating the Pacific Northwest Landscape Columbia Center for the Arts (CCA), located in the heart of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, is hosting its seventh annual Pacific Northwest Plein Air Writing Exhibition from August 25 to 29. Writers are invited to spend five days visiting some of the most visually remarkable sites in the Gorge and putting their impressions on paper to share with the public. The writing portion of the Plein Air show is an open-call event that culminates in a public reading in the CCA theater on September 4th at 7 pm and an anthology publication on the CCA website TBA. Writing can be prose or poetry (or any combination thereof).

Columbia Center for the Arts is a nonprofit arts organization that promotes an arts-rich environment in the Columbia Gorge, in which novices as well as established artists and performers discover and develop their full creative potential. CCA supports visual, literary and theater arts exhibition and education from its location in a former American Legion hall in downtown Hood River, Oregon.
The Pacific Northwest Plein Air Writing Exhibition is part of the Pacific Northwest Plein Air Painting Competition and Writing Exhibition. Visual artists who are interested in participating should visit the painting blog (link below).
